Movie Trailer Recap by Craig Kerbrat

I haven’t been keeping up with the last few movie trailers, so here we go with the recap!

First up: Scream VI!

I’m pretty excited for this one! I liked the last Scream movie, so I’ve been looking forward to seeing what comes next. And with the setting in New York City, it’s taking the franchise into a different setting than we’ve seen before.

Next up: Barbie!

I don’t know what I was expecting from this trailer, but it’s definitely not what we got. I came out without much of an idea what it’s going to be about, but if the weirdness of the trailer is anything to go by, I’m interested.

And then last, but definitely not least: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse!

This one, I’m really excited for. Into the Spider-Verse was one of the best movies of the last five years, and I can’t wait to see what the team has in store. And if the trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be pretty nuts. There are so many spider-characters in the trailer! And this new variant of Spider-Woman looks really cool.

And that’s all I’ve got right now! There have probably been other movie trailers lately, but these are the ones I’m excited for.

Movie Trailer Double Feature by Craig Kerbrat

It’s an exciting day for movie fans! Or at least, for action/pop culture movie fans. We got two new trailers for some of the big blockbusters coming to theatres in 2023.

First up, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts!

And then we’ve got Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3!

While the Transformers franchise has maybe gone downhill quite a bit, I can’t help but be excited by the trailer for Rise of the Beasts. I was a huge fan of the old Beast Wars series. And you really can’t go wrong with Guardians of the Galaxy. I can’t wait! But I have to, so I guess I can and will.

Who’s That Pokémon? by Craig Kerbrat

The Pokémon Company has revealed a new pokémon, and it was another fun and creative reveal. Starting yesterday, a mysterious chest appeared on the pokémon website. And then in Pokémon Go, as soon as the Community Day Classic ended, a weird little pokémon appeared, pointing trainers towards golden pokéstops that give away coins. As trainers collected coins in Pokémon Go, the mysterious chest online updated, showing new angles, and eventually appearing to fill with coins.

Flash forward to this morning, visiting chest.pokemon.com takes you to the research completed by Professor Willow and Jacq.

It turns out this new pokémon has two forms, and one of those forms will be Pokémon Go exclusive, or at least require some sort of connection between it and Scarlet and Violet.

And then there’s the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet reveal video for Gimmighoul!

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are out November 18th, 2022. Less than two weeks until the fun begins!

The Way of Water by Craig Kerbrat

A new trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water was released this morning! I already know I want to watch the movie, so I considered skipping the trailer to avoid spoilers, but I gave in and watched it anyway. And it seems like it’s pretty spoiler-free, though it definitely hints at what the movie will be about.

Avatar: The Way of Water is coming to theatres December 16th, 2022.

G-g-g-ghost Pokémon?! by Craig Kerbrat

This week we got some more pokémon news! They were “found footage” videos akin to the Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark teasers we got for Legends: Arceus.

Look how cute he is! I’m definitely catching myself a Greavard when Scarlet and Violet come out. But maybe I won’t invite it to the picnic too often…
